5 Crypto Slang Terms You Need To Know (Part 4)
I was back at it again, in the depths of Reddit reading up on some crypto stuff. And I came across some slang that I had to quickly google to get the gist of what the post was saying.
So I will google the slang so you don’t have to. Here are five more crypto slang words you need to know!
Shilling
Shilling is when people promote their own preferred project. Meaning their advice on the project would be very biased.
Example: “Guys you have to buy into this new project, it’s lit”
“Brian is shilling again.”
FUD
FUD stands for “fear, uncertainty, and doubt”. It’s used when people want to spread false information about crypto.
Example: “You use crypto? The media says only criminals use those.”
“Bethany, that is so FUD.”
Forking
Forking is used to describe when a blockchain breaks into two different parts making it forked.
Example: Think of forking as a fork in the road, you either go right or left.
Diamond Hands
Diamond hands are when a trader or investor refuses to sell no matter what.
Example: “Did you hear Dan bought bitcoin back in the day?”
“Yea, and he refuses to sell. Him and his diamond hands.”
Altcoin
The first cryptocurrency is Bitcoin. Altcoin refers to any crypto that isn’t bitcoin.
An example of an altcoin would be dogecoin.
