These women are the driving forces behind the next wave of top projects, but they’re also empowering other women by helping them find their way in the world of web3. Here’s who made our list of the Top Women in NFTs and the Metaverse:

Lisa Mayer

Lisa Mayer is the CEO of Boss Beauties. Boss Beauties focuses on empowering girls and women at the forefront of tech, leadership, and creativity. They create opportunities for girls and women through cutting-edge collaborations. Their mission is to have GenZ women and girls empower and inspire each other at the intersection of social impact and Web3.

Additionally, Lisa is the founder of My Social Canvas. This provides mentorship and scholarships to the next generation of women and girls. My Social Canvas equip girls to design their dream lives through mentorship, career coaching, and financial literacy.

Avery Akkineni

Avery Akkineni is the president of Vayner NFT. As a company, they have over 10 years of experience in the blockchain and crypto realms. They work with some of the biggest companies in the world such as Budweiser. They focus on long-term thinking when it comes to NFTs, meaning they map out projects that create long-term value for different communities and brands.

They aim to build brand value while delivering community value. This company is built for personalities, athletes, celebrities, artists, and brands. They offer NFT marketing strategies, ongoing partnerships, and education and consulting.

Nicole Muniz

Nicole Muniz is known for a project named “Bored Apes NFTs”. According to their team, they imagined “everyone who ‘aped’ into crypto and became wealthy beyond their wildest dreams.” This NFT sold out within 2 days and raised around $2.8 million.

Terra Naomi & Lindsey Byrnes

Terra Naomi and Lindsey Byrnes are team members at Warpsound. Lindsey is a photographer and creative director for many celebrities, bands, and brands.

Terra has been building online communities since 2005 and is a Universal Music Publishing and Island Records recording artist. Additionally, she is the winner of the 1st YouTube Award for Best Music Video.

Emily Yang

Emily Yang, also known as Pplpleasr, helped design graphics for movies such as Batman V Superman and Wonderwoman. She aided in defining the DeFi movement’s look! Meaning she changed the $25 billion digital art market.

Yam Karkai

Yam Karki is the founder of the World of Women. Its mission is to build a collection through 1/1 crypto art pieces then promote and showcase the artist. They describe their collection as a “unique, cool, and diverse women ready to leave a mark in the NFT space.” Lastly, they donate 2.5% of their sales to She’s the First, Too Young to Wed, and Strange Cintia.

Maï Akiyoshï

Maï Akiyoshï is the Chief Executive Officer for Curious Addys’ Trading Club. They focus on creating a long-lasting, supportive community of newcomers to Crypto and NFTs.

Maï has previously worked as a senior engineer at a billion-dollar Silicon Valley startup. Additionally, she works as Vice President of Marketing at Logbar. Logbar created the world’s first handheld offline translation device. Above all else, she is passionate about bringing more women to the crypto space and continues to share her story on why women should always do what they don’t think they’re good at.

Allyson Downey

Allyson Downey is a co-founder of Meta Angels NFTs– a collection of over 10,000 meta angels that incorporate over 300 hand-drawn elements. The angels represent vastness and similarity between all of us. They are a diverse company that stands for building a better world together through actions.

Their community lives on discord and is founded on the three core values of generosity, transparency, and accessibility. They aim to build a community that stays true to those values and benefits its members all across the globe.

Jamie Schmidt is the cofounder of BFF. BFF is a community for the crypto curious and was started collaboratively by 50 female and nonbinary leaders across the crypto industry. Their goal is to help women and non-binary people get educated, connected, and financially rewarded in crypto and web3.

Cathy Hackl is a strategist who helps brands with virtual worlds and fashion NFTs. Cathy is the CEO and Chief Metaverse Officer of the Futures Intelligence Group, a leading Metaverse technology company working with top brands regarding Metaverse growth strategies, gaming, virtual fashion, and how to extend physical brands into the virtual world. She is also an author who published a book on navigating the Metaverse.
